AThe Industrial Revolution began in Britain in the late 1700s. It changed the way people lived and worked forever. Before this period, most people used to work on farms or in small workshops. However, new machines and factories changed everything. This revolution has been called one of the most important events in human history.

BDuring the Industrial Revolution, new technology was developed very quickly. Steam engines were invented, which means factories could produce goods much faster. Coal was used to power these machines. As a result, many new industries were created. Workers moved from villages to cities to find jobs in these new factories.

CThe revolution brought many positive changes. Goods became cheaper because they were produced in large quantities. Transportation also improved, as railways were built across the country. Furthermore, new medicines and better food supplies helped people live longer. In addition, schools and hospitals were built in growing cities.

DHowever, the Industrial Revolution also caused serious problems. Many factory workers, including young children, worked in very dangerous conditions. Wages were often very low, although workers worked long hours every day. Pollution from factories damaged rivers and air. On the other hand, some wealthy factory owners became extremely rich while workers remained poor.

EDespite its problems, the Industrial Revolution has shaped the modern world. It started in Britain, but it spread to Europe, America, and Asia. Bangladesh has also experienced industrial growth in recent decades. If countries had not industrialised, the world would look very different today. Therefore, understanding this revolution helps us understand how modern societies developed.
