Learning to Read

AReading is very important for children. Children learn to read at school. There are many books in a school. A teacher helps the students every day.

BA child looks at letters first. Letters make words. Words make sentences. This is how reading starts.

CA good teacher points to each word. The student says the word out loud. Then the student reads the next word. This is slow but it is good.

DThere are picture books for small children. The pictures help the child understand. A child looks at the picture and the word. Then the child remembers the word.

EReading is a very good skill. A child can read signs and labels. A child can read at home too. Books are great friends for every child.
