- The Present Perfect tense connects past actions or experiences to the present moment.
- It is formed with have/has + past participle (third form of the verb).
- Use 'have' with I, you, we, they and 'has' with he, she, it.
- This tense emphasizes the result or current relevance rather than when exactly something happened.
- It's commonly used for life experiences, recent actions with present results, actions that started in the past and continue now, and repeated actions in an unfinished time period.
- The time of the action is either unknown, unimportant, or the focus is on the present consequence rather than the past moment.
Present Perfect Tense ব্যবহার করা হয় এমন কাজ বোঝাতে যা অতীতে শুরু হয়েছে কিন্তু বর্তমানে তার প্রভাব বা সংযোগ রয়েছে। Structure: Subject + have/has + past participle (V3)। 'Have' ব্যবহার হয় I, you, we, they এর সাথে এবং 'has' ব্যবহার হয় he, she, it এর সাথে। এই tense টি সাধারণত ব্যবহার হয় যখন সময় নির্দিষ্ট করা হয় না বা যখন কাজটি এখনো চলমান। IELTS পরীক্ষায় এটি speaking এবং writing উভয় অংশেই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কারণ এটি অভিজ্ঞতা এবং সাম্প্রতিক ঘটনা বর্ণনা করতে সাহায্য করে।
- Present Perfect has specific usage patterns with certain time expressions and signal words.
- 'Just', 'already', 'yet', 'ever', 'never', 'recently', 'lately', 'so far', and 'up to now' commonly appear with this tense.
- Use 'for' with duration (for three hours, for many years) and 'since' with a starting point (since Monday, since 2015).
- In IELTS Speaking, when asked about experiences (Have you ever...?), respond with Present Perfect.
- This tense is also used for news and recent events whose effects are still visible or relevant.
- The placement of adverbs matters: 'just', 'already', 'never', 'ever' usually come between the auxiliary and past participle, while 'yet' typically comes at the end of negative sentences and questions.
Present Perfect এর কিছু নির্দিষ্ট ব্যবহার রয়েছে যা IELTS পরীক্ষায় খুবই গুরুত্বপূর্ণ। Just, already, yet, ever, never, recently, lately, so far, up to now এই signal words গুলো প্রায়ই Present Perfect এর সাথে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'For' ব্যবহার হয় সময়ের দৈর্ঘ্য বোঝাতে (for two years) এবং 'since' ব্যবহার হয় শুরুর সময় বোঝাতে (since 2020)। IELTS Speaking এ অভিজ্ঞতা সম্পর্কে প্রশ্ন আসলে Present Perfect ব্যবহার করুন। এছাড়া সাম্প্রতিক ঘটনা যার ফলাফল এখনো দৃশ্যমান সেক্ষেত্রেও এই tense ব্যবহার করা হয়।
